Genie's Drapery Service has been handcrafting custom window treatments in the Charleston, SC, area for over 40 years. Our story began in the early 1900s with a family furnishings company. Today, every window treatment that leaves our custom workroom on Old Parsonage Road is crafted by local artisans who have been with the company for well over a decade.

The Genie's workroom is the heart of our operation, where simple fabric becomes a finished product. Local artisans cut, sew, and press every panel, Roman shade, balloon shade, valance, cornice, and top treatment in-house, giving us full control over quality from start to finish. This is the kind of work that cannot be replicated by a factory or a big-box retailer.



Clients can bring their own fabric or browse selections available through Genie's—an extensive collection of drapery-weight textiles, from casual linens to formal silks, in colors and patterns that suit virtually any interior style. Once a fabric is selected, the workroom handles every step: pattern matching, cutting, sewing, lining, finishing, and ultimately installation.


The artisans at Genie's have deep experience with a wide range of custom drapery designs. Pinch pleats, Euro pleats, goblet pleats, ripplefold, and rod-pocket styles are all built regularly.
